Calculator standards

We define every material input, publish the main formula on the page, test normal values and boundary conditions before release, and explain what the result excludes. A calculator is never published as a substitute for individualized professional advice.

Sources and verification workflow

When a calculation relies on a rule or rate — an IRS mileage rate, a federal tax bracket, an overtime threshold — the operator verifies the figure against the publication of the agency responsible for it before it goes live, records the review date on the page, and links directly to that primary source so readers can check it themselves. Software may assist with drafting and formatting, but every formula, worked example, and factual claim is reviewed by the site operator against the primary source before publication. Nothing is published solely because an automated tool produced it.

Reviews and corrections

Time-sensitive calculators are re-verified when their source changes and at least annually. Material corrections are applied promptly, and the affected page's review date is updated. Readers can report a suspected error through the contact page; reproducible examples receive priority.

Commercial content

TabSalary does not publish affiliate recommendations, sponsored placements, or paid promotional links. Calculator results and editorial conclusions are based only on the documented inputs, formulas, and limitations. If advertising is ever displayed, it will be labeled as such and kept separate from results and guidance.

Scope limits

The publisher is not a licensed tax, legal, or investment professional. Content is written to explain arithmetic and published rules clearly, to label uncertainty honestly, and to route higher-stakes decisions to qualified professionals and primary sources.

These tools are selected from the closest topic first, so the next click builds on the result you just reviewed.
