Calculator standards
We define every material input, expose the main formula, test normal values and boundary conditions, and explain what the result excludes. A calculator is not published as a substitute for individualized professional advice.
Sources
When a calculation relies on a rule or rate, we prefer the organization responsible for it—for example the IRS for U.S. mileage rates. We link the source near the guide, record a review date, and avoid presenting estimates as guaranteed outcomes.
Reviews and corrections
Time-sensitive calculators are reviewed when a source changes and at least annually. Material corrections are applied promptly. Readers can report a suspected error through the contact page; reproducible examples receive priority.
Commercial content
Advertising and affiliate relationships do not change calculator results or editorial conclusions. Paid placements must be distinguishable from tool content. We do not accept payment to alter a formula or hide a limitation.
Responsible use of automation
Software and automated tools may assist drafting and testing, but publication responsibility remains with the TabSalary publisher. Factual claims with financial consequences must be checked against a primary source before publication.
